We currently publish stories in English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German. Each story is rewritten at two difficulty levels — A1 and B1 — and you can pair it with any of the other languages as your translation panel. More languages and levels join the rotation as we expand.

We follow the CEFR scale. A1 is “just starting out”, B1 is “comfortable with everyday material.” Each story is written separately at A1 and B1, so the A1 version reads as a real story and not a chopped-down summary.

The web reader is responsive and works well on phones. A native mobile app is on the roadmap; we’ll announce it when it’s ready.

News pieces start from public reporting and are written fresh for learners; the satire, travel guides and serialized fiction are original. Every story is written with AI assistance and reviewed by our editorial team. We never republish wire-service text.

Each story is translated at each level by an AI translator that follows the grammar a learner at that level knows, then checked automatically. Sentences are paired one to one, so the translation always lines up with what you’re reading, and every word shows what it means in that sentence. If something reads wrong, report it from the sentence — an editor reviews every report.
