What LeftLingo provides
LeftLingo is a reading-based language-learning service. We publish news articles rewritten at two CEFR levels and provide sentence-level translations and word-level breakdowns alongside them. The service is provided as-is; we don’t guarantee any specific learning outcome.
Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe. One person per account — please don’t share access. If you suspect your account has been used by someone else, let us know.
LeftLingo Pro
LeftLingo Pro is free with every account during our soft launch — you won’t be charged, and there is nothing to cancel. We’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before soft launch ends, and nothing is billed unless you choose to subscribe.
Once subscriptions are offered, Pro costs $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year, billed in advance through our payment partners. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel. If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. If a payment fails, you keep Pro for 7 days while you update your payment details; after that your account returns to the free plan. A refund doesn’t cancel your subscription on its own; if you’d like Pro to end, we cancel it for you, either immediately or at the end of the period you’ve paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, we don’t refund partial periods.
Acceptable use
Don’t scrape the service, abuse the rate limits, or redistribute the article texts — the level-tuned rewrites are our work and we’d like to keep them where they belong. Don’t use LeftLingo for anything illegal in your jurisdiction.
Content and copyright
The level-tuned article texts, translations, and any breakdowns we generate are LeftLingo’s. Source attributions live on the article pages. If you believe we’ve misattributed or mishandled copyrighted material, contact us and we’ll review it promptly.
Changes
We’ll update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we’ll let active accounts know by email before they take effect.
