In review.

Our full terms of service are still with counsel. The summary below covers the rules that apply in the meantime; the binding version will replace it once legal review is complete.

What LeftLingo provides

LeftLingo is a reading-based language-learning service. We publish news articles rewritten at two CEFR levels and provide sentence-level translations and word-level breakdowns alongside them. The service is provided as-is; we don’t guarantee any specific learning outcome.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe. One person per account — please don’t share access. If you suspect your account has been used by someone else, let us know.

LeftLingo Plus

Plus subscriptions are billed monthly via our payment partner. You can cancel any time from your subscription portal; access continues through the end of the current billing period. We don’t issue retroactive refunds for partial months.

Acceptable use

Don’t scrape the service, abuse the rate limits, or redistribute the article texts — the level-tuned rewrites are our work and we’d like to keep them where they belong. Don’t use LeftLingo for anything illegal in your jurisdiction.

Content and copyright

The level-tuned article texts, translations, and any breakdowns we generate are LeftLingo’s. Source attributions live on the article pages. If you believe we’ve misattributed or mishandled copyrighted material, contact us and we’ll review it promptly.

Changes

We’ll update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we’ll let active accounts know by email before they take effect.
