In review.

Our full privacy policy is still with counsel. The summary below covers what we collect today and how we use it; the binding version will replace it once legal review is complete.

What we collect

  • Account. Your email address (or Google sign-in identifier) so you can sign in.
  • Reading preferences. The language and level you choose, plus typography settings, so the reader picks up where you left off.
  • Reading activity. Which articles you’ve opened, your progress through each one, sentence taps, and your saved words. We use this to power continue-reading, history, the “for you” rail, and your vocabulary list.
  • Billing. If you upgrade to LeftLingo Plus, our payment partner handles your card details — we only store a subscription identifier and the active-through date. We never see your card number.
  • Diagnostics. Anonymised crash reports and basic usage analytics so we can find and fix issues. No third-party advertising trackers.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with advertisers. We don’t profile you across other sites. The only third parties that see your data are the infrastructure providers we need to run the service — hosting, our payment partner for billing, and our error-tracking provider for crash reports.

Your controls

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings; your reading history, saved words, and preferences go with it. If you cancel LeftLingo Plus, your subscription identifier is retained only as long as required by our payment partner’s reconciliation rules.

Want a copy of your data, or have a question about something we’ve stored? Email support@leftlingo.com and we’ll help.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your reading preferences (language, level, font scale, reader mode). We don’t use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Changes

We’ll update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes are announced to active accounts by email before they take effect.
